Sovnger - "124 bpm" Mix // Sunday Feature

After going through his first campaign as Knuckles (est. 2002), the Parisian DJ and producer improved his style and changed his name to Sovnger (2010), a pseudonym inspired from the Danish translation of "sleepwalker".

It didn't take him long to produce his first EP under Alex Gopher's label: "Breathless EP" was playlisted by some of the big papas in the business (Justice, Boys Noize, Busy P, Dada Life...) and even had his place in the 2 Many DJ's Radio Soulwax sets. Sovnger carried on remixing (Alex Gopher, Shameboy, Sharam Jey, Wazabi, among others) and released some EPs and tracks on labels such as Bad Life, OMGITM, Boxon and Fake Blood's Blood Music (the latter, a brilliant collab with The Subs). And surely he hasn't finished keeping us awake...!

He uploaded this mix a couple of days ago but we decided to wait until today to share it as this is a Sunday absolute must-listen. It evolves around deep house sonorities and uplifting melodic housey elements that will leave you wishing the mix was longer than 1 hour. As the first Sunday Feature, a set with all his releases was also included after the mix so you can get better acquainted with Sovgner's music.

  1. Great post.Just a quick note it is important that Danish translation being accurate and efficient can indeed not be overstated. Especially in the ever faster moving world of globalized business, successful information and technology transfer within multinational businesses can make the difference between win or lose.
