Nima Tahmasebi, otherwise known as NT89, should be considered a role model for all the young DJs and producers out there. Not that he has a 20-year career on his back, on the contrary, he hasn't; but within the few years he's been active he quickly went from 'the upcoming artist' to someone whose producing skills are widely recognized across an ever-more crowded industry.
He has been gaining a reputation - and rightfully so - of being one of the most refreshing acts to have appeared in the scene lately. As such, over the last few months he's been requested to remix remarkable names on taste-making labels ranging from Proxy (Turbo), Henzel & Disco Nova (Bad Life), Vakkuum (La Bombe), Congorock (Ultra), among many others. We're also pretty sure he's been cooking some new originals that we expect to be at least as good as 'Voices' released early this year on A-Trak's Fool's Gold Records.
Here we have the recording of the last 45 minutes of his closing set at Rauw (Trouw, Amsterdam) a few days ago. And that's the only bad thing about it: that it's only 45 mins long. Otherwise blast those speakers up because you're in for a treat!
